I'm Praneeth Reddy Mopuri — a Product Manager with 7+ years across four very different industries, now building the AI I believe the next decade of products will run on.
My career doesn't read like a straight line, and that's the point. I started in mechanical engineering at NIT Jalandhar, spent two years on a furnace floor at Vedanta, did my MBA at IIM Raipur, and then moved through banking at ICICI, cross-border e-commerce at Qalara (Reliance Retail), and now adtech and agentic AI at InMobi. Both my institutes are Institutes of National Importance — but what I'm proudest of is that in every single one of these worlds, I found a way to create real, measurable impact.
The common thread has never been the industry. It's a way of working: go to the root of the problem, own it completely, and stay hands-on until it's solved. At Vedanta I sat with technicians on the floor, got my hands dirty, and brought a data-led approach to root-cause analysis of breakdowns — one investigation into pressure losses in screw pumps led to roughly ₹51 lakh in savings. The instinct that made that possible is the same one I use today when I'm debugging an AI agent's behaviour.
When I decided I wanted to lead products end-to-end — from conception all the way to market — I went to IIM Raipur. There I served on the Placement Committee, built the recruiter database, cold-called and brought companies to campus, ran drives and leadership summits, and mentored juniors. I also kept up the photography and video editing I've loved since college, making marketing material for our summits.
An early internship at ICICI Bank's Corporate Brand team turned into a pre-placement offer. As a Product Manager on the Trade Products team, I was integral to Trade Emerge — a one-stop platform for exporters and importers that reached beyond banking through third-party partnerships. I touched nearly everything: UI/UX, primary and secondary market research, user interviews, shipping, and a big-bang GTM with a press launch covered by leading national newspapers. I also worked on a blockchain-based supply-chain finance concept and a cross-border project involving an overseas government and NITI Aayog.
At Qalara, Reliance Retail's sustainable, artisanal cross-border marketplace, I owned the online checkout journey end-to-end — sign-up to cart to conversion. I was relentlessly data-centric: improved search accuracy with our third-party provider (tripling click-through), deployed a cart recommendation engine, and built an entire comms-and-retention flow, owning the full MoEngage onboarding and migration.
Then came the shift I'm most excited about. At InMobi, I moved from business-facing PM work into owning the platform of a deep-tech product — the Supply-Side Platform customer interface that app publishers and developers use to onboard inventory, monetise, and track earnings. Over nearly three years I've stabilised that platform and I'm now driving its shift to being agentic-AI-first.
Here's the part that matters most to me: I don't just write the brief and hand it off. I build. I write the PRDs, prototype the agents myself, refine the prompts, establish the evals and guardrails, run the iterative testing as the human in the loop, and contribute small code changes to extend capabilities. Along the way I've sharpened my Python, learned SQL well enough to pull data and write complex queries, and gone deep on AI/ML. I'm not claiming to be a core software engineer — but in the AI world, I'm consistently ahead of most product people, and I'm among the first in my org to have shipped real AI features, including a working agent, to production.
I'm not done learning. I've enrolled in the PGP in AI/ML with Great Learning and UT Austin, and I plan to pursue a deeper technical degree in AI. My goal is clear: to become an AI builder and AI leader — someone who ships his own ideas into the world. That's already begun, and there are apps and products on the way.
Beyond any single skill, these are the traits that show up in every role I've held.
Whatever I own, I own fully — the outcome, the details, and the parts nobody else wants to touch. Ownership isn't a task I'm assigned; it's how I operate.
I dig until I hit the real reason — whether it's a pressure loss in a pump or a drop-off in a checkout funnel. Symptoms don't satisfy me; causes do.
I let evidence lead. I introduced analytics into breakdown RCAs, tripled search CTR with data, and now write SQL to pull my own numbers instead of waiting on a report.
Physical equipment or an AI agent, floor or codebase — I get into the details myself rather than managing from a distance. Proximity is where the good decisions come from.
No external push required. Python, SQL, ML, agentic AI — I've picked up each because the work needed it and my ambition demanded it. Learning is a default, not an event.
I've led design teams, floor technicians, and placement drives — and mentored juniors — the same way: by rolling up my sleeves first and setting the standard through action.

Photography and video editing have been a passion since college. I made marketing films for our BAJA team and IIM summits — and one of my test-track photographs was chosen for the cover of the Mahindra-sponsored BAJA SAE India poster.
On the SAE BAJA team I led brake design and communications, and designed a 240g lightweight brake disc with excellent impact absorption and stress distribution — considered for an innovation award and echoed in later years' designs. Our 2017 season brought 13 awards and a debut at BAJA SAE Illinois.
